When Qi is flowing well and going to all the right places...then a person experiences good mental and physical health. When Qi is flowing incorrectly (blocked or deficient) then illness occurs.

She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She is also a professional level Yoga Teacher, and has studied kinesiology, Tai Chi, QiGong and practices meditation.

Mareena Dufault, BScH, RAc has been working in healthcare since 2007. She graduated magna cum laude from Pacific Rim College in 2015 and has since worked as a Registered Acupuncturist in Victoria and the Gulf Islands.

Since becoming a mother herself, Mareena has further developed her clinical expertise in the fields of women’s health including menstrual regulation, fertility optimization, pregnancy care, postpartum recovery including caesarean care, and paediatrics. Mareena is well-versed in family herbal remedies and holistic nutrition. She has extensive knowledge of assisted reproductive treatment, from IUI to IVF. She is available to provide post-partum home visits to support new mothers in the first two months after delivery.

Maria Laslop is a Registered Acupuncturist, a Registered Chinese Herbalist, and a non-practicing Registered Nurse in the province of British Columbia. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990 and a Master of Nursing in 1997. She subsequently went on to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Victoria, BC) with a four year Diploma of Chinese Medicine.
